Introduction: Hi, folks! Here we go again… Now we’ve got a bigger story with more characters and much more romance, betrayal, action, strife, etc. This time we will have parallel stories, and we will be discussing different themes… Corruption and prejudice will be the background of our story. I hope you enjoy it, leave your comments in the blog and cheer up with the plot.

Plot: Our story takes place in the small coastal city of Alvorada, a beautiful place to live in the south of a Brazilian state called “Bahia”. A city where everybody knows each other. A place where anything can happen – I said “anything”… You will find the funniest and craziest people you can imagine there… Start reading and you feel as you have lived there for such a long time…

Characters:

THAYNAM – sweet, beautiful and cultured woman. She’s 24 years old and she’s a psychologist. Thaynam loves her husband, and she could never imagine living without him. She is an outstanding professional and she dreams about having children soon. The lass has been married for 3 years but she doesn’t even suspect that her husband has a relationship with the physiotherapist Anyne.

LUCAS – a biologist who has passion with the environment. He’s got Mastership in Marine Zoology and teaches “Genetics” and “Scientific Ethics” in Candido Mendes University. His heart is divided into two loves: his wife, the tender Thaynam, and a love from youthful time, the determined Anyne.

ANYNE – dreamy, honest and mature, Anyne is 23 years old. She is a physiotherapist and she loves Lucas. She has never wanted to take him from his wife, Thaynam, because she knows he loves her too. Anyne has Indian grandparents and they taught her to respect and love the environment. She practices yoga and meditates every single day.

HELEN – Lucas’ and Anyne’s best friend. Helen and her boyfriend John are the only ones who seem to know about Lucas’ extra conjugal relationship. Helen attends International Relations School and she was Lucas’ Ethics student. Helen and the biologist exchange top secrets and they plan to establish a NGO for Atlantic Jungle Preservation.

JOHN – this physiotherapist studied with Anyne in College and nowadays he works with her in the same clinic. He’s Thaynam’s cousin. John wants to become engaged soon.

THAIS – she attends Biological Science School. She’s Lucas’ student and she comes from a very poor family. Thais goes to college at night and, after her classes, she works at the strip bar “La Maison”, in which she’s a dancer and a prostitute. She’s got a very beautiful body and she suffers prejudice because of her job.

HENRIQUE – laborious, intelligent and ambitious guy. He attends Theatrical Arts School (Candido Mendes University). As well as Thais, Henrique suffers prejudice: he is homosexual! Best student of his class, Henrique wants to graduate in college and live abroad for a while.

CLAUDIA – one of Lucas’ friends, Claudia lives in a Brazilian state called “Recife” in Brazil. She is the owner of a “Cyber Space”, a cyber café. Claudia and Lucas are virtual friends and they exchange many confidences on line. She’s paraplegic, another reason for prejudice.

MILENA – Chemistry teacher and Lucas’ work friend. Milena, Lucas and Stella hang out together very often. She started to suffer prejudice after assuming herself as a bisexual.

HARMONY – a mysterious woman who often makes previsions with her music shells and tarot. She is the major’s mother and hates her daughter-in-law, Luciana. She hasn’t talked to her son for 10 years because he is ashamed of his mother’s hippie style.

VALERIA – a marvelous writer. The brunette got AIDS in her first sexual relation, when she was only 15. Nowadays she struggles against the illness. She’ll be one of the most important collaborators to Lucas’ NGO.

STELLA – Lucas’ and Milena’s friend. The blonde is an English teacher. She says that her loving life is a joke! She’s got plenty of lovers. Stella has searched very much about “past lives”. During one of the regression sessions, she found out that she was called Leticia in another life and that she died with a lot of money at Malvine Islands.

PRIEST ITALO – a young religious man. He’s 24. He doesn’t have any vocation for the religious life. His seminary time was a trial to run away from a big loving disillusion. Italo has fallen in love with Thais. A very friendly guy, he has attracted many ladies to his celebrations.

ANN – Thaynam’s and Lucas’ servant. She’s Thais’ mother and she doesn’t suspect of her daughter’s night life. The dedicated mother blames herself for not having been able to give her daughter a better life.

LUCIANA – smart and ambitious, she’s the major Caio Reis’ wife. This woman helps her husband in each o his frauds. She wears hundreds of jewelry and she feels she is “the one”, after all she is the “first lady” of the city. Because of Caio’s orders and disorders in the small city of Alvorada, she became pretty snobbish.

SEBASTIAN – the major’s right arm, Sebastian felt in love with Luciana, who has always neglected him because he’s poor. He decided then to turn into Caio’s flatterer, so that he would always be close his great love.

CAIO REIS – he was elected Major of Alvorada with 25 years old. He’s a rich and snobbish guy. An ex-state governor’s grandson, Caio has seen his political life as a money making machine. He’s involved in corrupt management, such as bribery and money laundering. He’s got a bold building project: the resort “Waters from Alvorada”. Because of this, the villain will be in opposition to the NGO for Atlantic Jungle Preservation. Lucas will be really mad when he notices that the major’s project threatens the fauna and the flora. This rivalry would never be forgotten in the small littoral city of Alvorada.
